Another south facing boulder with a few hard lines on it. A bit hard to find and not too obvious until you are up on it. Climbed by Shawn McCauley and Ed Lyman early 2000's.

Getting There

From Bozoo Roof walk up the hill a couple hundred yards and a bit to the left. It is a wide low-looking boulder with a overhanging front face. There are several great lines on this boulder.

G. Mental Mantle V6 7A  West Virginia : Bozoo : ... : H. EDucator Boulder
Squat start on a chock stone, make a long move up to small slots/crimps. Move up and slightly right to a slopey lip and one of the toughest mantle's in the boulderfield. The death-stump has been removed. Still heady, but is now "safe"....[more]   Browse More Classics in West Virginia

I put up one problem on this boulder in 2000 that had an envelope slot you went to after a SDS, had a weird pinky catch water groove/crack you popped to at the lip. topping out was the hardest part. I called it Special ED.

Do you remember a grade that stands out? or a grade range? Also which part of the boulder?

Nice photo Jay. The problem you call F. "Special ED Left" is what I called Special ED. I never did the right variation letter G because of the death stump factor at the heinous mantle its hard and mental. I used to call it the "mental mantle" but like I said I never did it. The stump is a factor on "F. Special ED Orginal" but a bit safer than "mental mantle" I felt. It always looked like that stump seemed rotten enough to remove or shove over but i couldn't move it.

Do you have anything else for me on this boulder? Also, check out the Entryway section and comment that area up, lots of more detail in there now, but still many placeholder names.
