Reviving an old thread.

Started getting into shooting USPSA lately. I used to shoot IDPA in the CDP division (1911), and started shooting USPSA single stack with a buddy. Bought a gun set up for limited class and haven't looked back. It's a freaking blast.

Anyone else shoot competitively at any level?

Anyone reload?

Avid 3-Gun shooter, collector and reloader here.

I load mostly 300BO for volume and 308 for precision. Everything else is relatively cheap to buy factory loads for.

Favorite rifle these days is a 10.5" 300BO SBR w/AAC 762-SD can.

Wait! What! Climbers with guns??? Someone from Boulder said all climbers are liberals. And all liberals are anti gun. Whoa. Greg D

I've been shooting USPSA for about 2.5 years now. Currently M in production. Reloading 9mm on a Dillon 650. What did you pick up for limited? 2011 in .40?

Yeah its good to realize that not all climbers or liberals are against firearms. As for what I shoot, well anything I can get my hands on and put ammo in. Don't worry but big brother for a while. Don't believe trump will be placing any restrictions on the 2a. BigCountry

That notion is such a joke.... last 8 years we had to listen to conservative kooks decry that President Obama was gonna take all their guns away! Turns out to be nothing more than a bunch of conspiracy BS to keep repubs people in line and fear the black president. Seemed to work pretty well though seeing as the gun mfgs enjoyed record gun sales and profits for every year he was in office.

I'm really surprised to see everyone making lists of their firearms in an online forum. Where I grew up, these types of conversations are kept private with people you trust.

That being said, it's all about 12ga slugs around here right now. 1 week til Bambi season!

Sounds like a great place to grow up ^^^^^^^^ (not)

They probably fear the Gays and the notion of legal mary jane too.

Just goes to show how long and deep the 'their going to take your guns away' brainwashing has been.

I guess you two didn't learn much this week about the value of marginalizing people, their backgrounds, their intelligence, and calling them bigots when they've done nothing to indicate that they're the "dumb, hateful, rednecks" you consider them to be. Does it seem like it's a very effective political strategy? That's your guy headed for the white house, right?

I don't think it has anything to do with firearms specifically. It's no different than advertising how much cash or precious metals and stones you have in the safe in your house. People with common sense try not to advertise lists if their belongings that are highly sought after by thieves.

My competition rifle (PRS, tactical, and sometimes F-Class). Haven't taken it out farther than 1,000 yards. But it shoots great and can probably get me out to 1,700 yards if the Density Altitude is high enough.

I've been on a few and know there are lots of them. There are lots of stupid people on the internet. Now that you point it out, I shouldn't really be surprised by this thread. I should have just said I don't understand the thought process behind it.

That's a damn good shot group. Congrats, looks great. I miss my Army days when ammo was paid for, but now, 30 minutes of shooting beer cans or new cams.... priorities.

I shot the South Carolina State Championship 3 Gun match today in Clinton, SC. Came in....nowhere near the top place! But had a great time! Shotgun reload times just killed me today. Tim Lau

If I had time to go shoot more often, some of those competitions sound like a lot of fun. We have a couple nice guns in the safe; but the one I keep taking out in the field is my grandpa's old 30-06 pump. So far I've taken 5 deer and 3 elk with it, and will be going again next month. Been rusted, reblued, dropped, fallen-on, and is probably half shot-out. Still, it likes the 180 boattail with H4831.

You guys with the long range stuff make me a little jealous. I have a $39 Tasco on this thing, and generally limit my shots to within 300yds, though if I can find time I might push it out to 400 this year. I guess it's all relative.

Nice to see not everyone is anti-gun.

Registered Independent here, vote all over the place, so probably considered pretty liberal.

Nonetheless, learned to shoot before I learned to read. Lots of target shooting, back in the days when hearing protection was pretty rare, and have one not so great ear now.

Don't have anything now, but my plinking gun was a little Bearcat, with grips carved by my dad. Shot in an indoor league for awhile (various handguns, Rugers mostly), but we quit that when it got too smoky.

Also enjoyed a few outings with guys who had marginally illegal stuff that was awesome. There's something about flames shooting out the barrel that just grabs your attention, ya know?
