Noah Stevens on the FA of Guano Tempura. He is pul...

Description

Crux is right off the ground getting over the pod. Climb bolts up to the corner of the wall right of the overhanging block. Pull around the RH side of the block (super fun and airy) then continue past one last bolt to the chains at the very top of the formation.

Location

Cross the creek at the culvert. Stay left of the giant cottonwood growing next to the wall at the base of the obvious couloir. The route starts at what is essentially the middle of the wall left of the cottonwood. If the wall has an overhanging block at the top you are in the right place. Start directly under the pod.

Protection

Stainless steel bolts and Metolius hangers. 11 bolts to chain anchors.

CONDITION REPORT
Dirty, chossy, mossy, this route and all of the routes on this wall, need a LOT of work to clean them up.

This route is dirty. The bottom 25' is super dirty. Everyone take a brush and clean. With a few ascents it will be polished and clean.

I have every expectation that when it is cleaned up it may be a contender for the best easy route in Maple. SUPER FUN! It has a little bit of everything...a couple of steep pumpy moves at the start (if this is your first Maple 5.6 it will be pumpy), an airy aerie under a roof, some exposure and it is long for the grade in Maple.
