Good multipitch cragging on the steep sweeping eastern ramparts. Lots of info on such routes can be found at Though arguably quite dirty (ash stings the eyeballs), the volcanic rock offers interesting and brain dependent climbs.
Descend by walking down the sandy slope or by rappel. All routes are quickly reached from the spartan hut at the end of the road driving.

Drive up from Lloa, or could walk too.

This is an amazing day out. Because you start and end in arguably not the same is best to treat this as a travel day as much as a day in the hills. Bus to Lloa from anywhere in Quito, from Lloa walk uphill upon cobble street and dirt road, trending right at forks and various utensil shaped intersections.
