Description

In Arthurian legend, Sir Gawain accepted a challenge to a beheading game by the Green Knight as a test of courage and loyalty.

GK climbs the stellar finger crack on the right side of an obvious light green lichened streaked pillar formation near the center of the North Side.

Begin from a good sized ledge. Step right to start the route. Crank through finger cracks and featured face, steepening to splitter fingers up to a bird poo covered ledge ramp at the top of the pillar. Make a heroic bouldery top out protected by a bolt to behead the Green Knight.

Super classic.

Location

Green Knight and White Hawk are located near the center of the North Side. A faint white bird poo stain marks the top of the light green pillar. Set back from the edge is a big dead, termite rotted tree.

Protection

Rack: a few micro cams, (2)#.3-#.75C4, extra finger cams.
Top anchor could consist of medium stoppers and micro cam, or other creative gear, backed up by tree. Edge protection recommended. Belay anchor would be small gear on a nice lounge ledge.
