BETA PHOTO: Graffiti Wall.

Description

There are various problems and variations on this overhanging wall. The huge tree makes topping out impossible. Ratings vary depending on what you do, but V5 is probably a good average. Top and drop when you reach tangle of branches.

2017 update: the tree has fallen down opening the upper wall. Please do not bolt this wall. I will set a bomber TR anchor.

Location

It lies between Noodle Wall amd Moman at Otter Beach. It is a great place to camp if you want to spend the night in canyon. There is a good chance of seeing otters early or late if you are not too noisy.

Detailed explanation on finding Graffiti Wall: park at Piedra River Trail 529. Head down the trail about a quarter to half mile. You'll begin to see boulders appear. Keep your eyes peeled towards the left of the trail. Soon, you'll see a little hill heading down towards the water. At the bottom of the little hill, you'll find Huggy Bear, Graffiti Wall, & Moman.

As of 2016, the tree blocking the upper wall has fallen down and is now laying at the base.

Please do not bolt this wall. I will install some bomber TR anchors. For many years, I have wished that the tree was not there, and I would like the opportunity to boulder these to the top and set a TR for some harder stuff at Otter Beach.

Win-win for all and no unnecessary bolts.

Long time local with a lot invested in this canyon. Thanks.
