I'll be in Wisconsin for the next week. My Parents in Janesville said the white stuff is melting fast. I was wondering if its worth the drive over to Gov. D and do some bouldering. Anyone happen to have shoveled off any top outs?

Thanks in advance.

its been in the high 40's- high 50's the last 3 days, might not have to do any shoveling.

I have arrived in Janesville to rain melting the last of the scattered snow patches. Unfortunately theirs a 50/50 chance of snow here in southern Wisconsin. If all works in my favor I'm hoping to hit up GD on tuesday or wednesday. Otherwise it'll be an indoor bouldering session. Any updates or info will be greatly appreciated.

If you do go at all be sure to give the rock a chance to dry out. Stuff around GD can get pretty brittle when its wet. Enjoy

No snow here but the ice is in place even though is only a glaze it looks like its not going to melt until wednesday. Perhaps a strong wind will help things out but my winter session at GD is looking more and more like a long shot. Keeping my fingers crossed. I also noticed Wallcrawlers in Whitewater went out of business. Bummer.

That glaze of ice is now covered by an inch or two of snow. Grumble, grumble. Looks like an indoor session.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
