Kathryn on Gooseberry

Description

Start out just downhill from a large dead tree. Climb 10ish terrain for four bolts to a good rest then tackle the crux, moving past a bad left-hand gaston to a small crimp. The climbing stays sustained above.

Location

Center of Visions Wall just left of dead tree.

Protection

11 bolts, lower-off anchors.

Gooseberry now has its own anchor and a 2 bolt extension to reduce traffic at the Karma-Kazi anchor. Please consider using the new anchor if climbing Gooseberry. Might need a 70m to get off, or be careful with lowering using a 60m.

Someone (not Lurker) added an odd bottom anchor with some massive quick links and a 3mm TR pull chord. I'm hoping this chord isn't supposed to be a permanent fixture, as it definitely encroaches on the lead. I suppose the bottom anchor could be used for practicing solo-lead-belay, if you're so inclined to solo-lead an 11a or 11c.

In good news, THE DEAD TREE HAS BEEN CHOPPED!!! Who ever cut it, we love you.
