RAIN, WET ROCK and RAPTOR CLOSURES: The sandstone around Moab is fragile and is very easily damaged when it is wet. Also please ask and be aware of Raptor Closures in areas such as CAT WALL and RESERVOIR WALL in Indian Creek MORE INFO >>>

Excellent, long, featured and moderate routes.

Getting There

Walk past the KFC toprope area and look for a faint trail below the cliffs that initially veers away from the cliff, but climbs steeply back up to the base of the cliff.

You can do these routes with a 60m rope, but make sure to tie knots in the end of your rope and belay from atop the block. Rope stretching routes, a 70m rope is helpful.

Had a hard time figuring this wall out based on the route descriptions here. Climbed one route that I thought was Good Times, but there were only 3 bolts on a 35 meter climb. Fairly certain we were on the correct wall based on the map/gps info here on MP.

Also, a 70m rope is almost a must here.

I also had a hard time finding this wall. The gps coordinates on the map on MP are wrong for Good Times. They lead to a featured wall nestled behind several trees, just past the KFC toprope area, but I only saw one bolt on the entire wall, so I don't know what is there. To find good times, keep walking east another 5ish minutes past this wall until you see the distinct 15 foot tall block at the base of the wall. I think more accurate coordinates for Good Time are -109.28119, 38.47204 (though I'm not 100% sure). I think Exam wall and Times wall coordinates on the map are wrong as well.

The unknown wall looks like it has some decent lines on it. I climbed about 30 feet up a vague crack system (5.7) and placed some small gear, but decided to down climb as it looked runout above, and the placements were suspect in the somewhat crumbly rock. Maybe this is an extension of KFC and there are anchors up top?
