Description Suggest change

Golden climbs a striking series of dihedrals and aretes on great rock. Makes for a perfect warmup for a day of crushing the Wall of Tiers.

Start heading straight up a thin face on horizontals or traverse in from the left to get into a left facing dihedral. Follow it to a roof, surmount it to another dihedral and eventually emerge onto an arete that you follow to the anchors.

Location Suggest change

Golden climbs the arete just to the left of the bolted Retriever. Look for a clean face and dihedral arete feature bordered on all sides by broken chimneys about 40' to the right of The Thin Thing.

Protection Suggest change

Single set of cams (including the tiny guys) to a #1, nuts. Long runners are useful at the bottom.
Rappel of the metolius hangers.
