Golden Road (10c). The chalked-up crack on the le...

Another really good crack pitch. There are some tricky placements (but very solid), so be warned...perhaps suss out the pro after leading one of the other routes.

Start up Veracity. Where that route goes straight up, branch left and follow a crack across the slab to the top.

Same as Veracity.

Standard rack.

I got on this climb today thinking it was veracity. Definitely not G rated! The crux section is entirely unprotected with a microcam (blue alien) well below your feet in the veracity crack. A fall from the second half of the crux(after the crimp rail) would not be good. Deserves PG or possibly an R rating.

The crux protects adequately with small cams and RPs. Excavation with a nut tool may be required to place them. I don't feel that it is R rated.
