Description

Goblin wall, is an easily recognized sheet of green colored rock that hosts some single pitch routes as well as some multi pitch climbs. The longest is 4 pitches in length.

The classic route to do is Goblin Arete, 5.11c, which takes the line up the left arete of the wall.

Getting There

Walk along the southern shore of the lake from the parking lot. Make a diagonal rising traverse over a talus slope heading for the right end of the wall. When at the base you can traverse leftwards to reach the other climbs.

From the far left side of the tree ledge (bolt) climb some less than enjoyable rock for ~10 meters past a few bolts. Where it begins to steepen, keep going straight up (one can also go left, which is less fun) through steep, juggy terrain. Cut right under the roof onto the face and execute a few thin face moves for the route's crux. Belay at a stance. The succeeding 2-3 pitches are stellar arete and face climbing. It is easy to head off right to Love at First Sight (11-) a...[more]   Browse More Classics in International
