Seen at the Gunks recently. Not a hex, not even aluminum. Maybe some flavor of that (Australian-made??) plastic chocks/nuts gear?

I have some plastic nuts made by Mammut that are 1980s vintage. They are solid though, never seen hollow plastic nuts before not even in the Nuts Museum. I would say someone was having some fun especially given the cord and the fact that the "nut" has grove in it. Allen Sanderson
