Many high quality rocks from boulders to crags with high peaks above. At the confluence of the North and South Forks of Garnet Canyon, avalanche debris has made a flat area of boulders and willows. Some of the boulders have just arrived from above; others have been there awhile. The avalanches and recent glaciation (Pinedale advance) has rendered many of the crags in the meadows unusually clean, by Teton standards.

Getting There

Hike up toward the Grand Teton normal routes and when it gets really pretty you will be there. 5 miles from Lupine Meadows roadhead.
