Description Suggest change

This is one of 3 ways to the top of this little, granite spire. This picks probably the line of least resistance up this small formation up the S side. Ascend an variable corner with feet on the slab and hands in the corner. Gain an easier groove above, jump into the notch, and get lowered about 8 ft to a ledge on the N face. Belay.

Descent is via a simul rappel.

Perhaps a star is generous, but it felt worth the effort, since we were in the area.

Location Suggest change

This tiny spire is located just W of Fin City by about 100 ft.

Protection Suggest change

A big wire, #2, 2.5, 3 Friend sized cams, a blue Alien. A red Alien and a wide-hands sized cam for the belay on the N side.
