This small but worthwhile east-facing crag sits almost directly across the Gorge from the Dilithium Crystal, and while not as popular as some of the better known crags has a handful of routes well worth checking out. Recommended routes here include Melts in your Mouth (5.10c), Escapade (5.11a) and Thumbs Up (5.11c) which all feature great rock and an abrupt change in character at some point on the climb.

Getting There

Approach via the Central Gorge or Upper Gorge approach as it's about midway between the two. The wall sits almost directly across from the stellar Dilithium Crystal.

Yet another must do line at this crag, this sits just right of Escapade (5.11a) and serves as a good warm-up for that route and the neighboring Thumbs Up (5.11c). Climbs a super fun vertical face to bulge on good holds right of Escapade and ends somwhat uneventfully as it lacks the dicey slab finish of it's neighbors. One of the better climbs of it's grade in the Gorge....[more]   Browse More Classics in California
