Selling a pair of 2013 BD Quadrants in a size 27.0 (310 mm BSL). I picked them up on TGR a few months ago, skied them a couple of days and determined they are way too high over the instep to fit my foot. As the second owner, it's hard for me to say how many days these have had on them, but I'd guess 20 low-intensity days and 2 bakes (one by me, one by the previous owner). They're in overall very good conditions externally, and I'm sure that the liner has enough loft left for another bake. The liners do have some duct tape residue (I tried taping on some foam to test a tighter fit... didn't work), and there's a small wrinkle in one heel (see the photos). Someone with the right foot could get a lot of life out of these.

A note on fit -- these boots are weird. The previous owner also sold them because he found them to be too big (in his case, I think it was primarily a width issue). If you have narrow or low-to-standard-volume feet, these are probably not the right boot for you. Searching here will turn up plenty of threads with people struggling to figure out the fit on these.

I bought the boots for $100 + shipping. I figure $50+ shipping seems fair, but let me know if you think otherwise. FWIW: lowest retail price I've found the same boot, new old stock is $199.

Specs from Evo: http://www.evo.com/alpine-touring-sk...-quadrant.aspx

  • Pebax shell
  • 310 mm BSL
  • 15 or 18 degree forward lean
  • 103 mm last width
  • 17156 g per boot
  • 120 flex (whatever that means)

Marketing blurb from Evo: Ski mountaineers with a wide foot who ski remote terrain hard and fast (or who frequent fall-you-die stuff) will find a lot to like in the Black Diamond Quadrant Alpine Touring Ski Boots. Re-engineered in a less garish color scheme than previous years, and with a completely new 1:1 Efficient Fit Boa® liner that weighs less and tightens up much faster, the Quadrant will still drive the biggest skis and ski the burliest lines with complete authority. The Triax Pivot Frame combines skiing precision with tremendous 40˚ flexibility in tour mode, and the four buckle design lets you fine tune your fit for optimal control on the descent.

Reviews (mostly of the older version which had a more-primitive liner and was heavier)-

I'll bite on the boot.  I'm curious what your street shoe size is though.  27 Mondo is about right for me most of the time, but it sounds like they might not fit.  At this price though...hard to pass up.

Thanks.

Ryan-

I wear a size 27 ski boot, size 10.5 or so street shoe. If it helps, 5.10 climbing shoes in a 10 are an aggressive fit for me, and I wear 10.5-11 for a more relaxed fit. Hope that helps!

Hey Mark, thanks for the response.  For some reason I didn't have notifications turned on for this.  Either way, sounds like these won't fit me.  Bump for a good deal!
