Free Self Arrest and Snow Travel Workshop

The Wasatch Mountain Club will be covering basic alpine snow travel, self arrest with ice ax and crampon basics. We will practice on ski runs at Alta which will be closed by this time of year. Ice ax required, crampons optional and wear clothing practical for rolling around in the snow! If you do not own or are unable to borrow an ax, the club has a limited number to rent ($5.00) for the class, please reserve in advance. Post class an optional short hike with more glissading practice will follow.

Great place for beginners with no mountaineering experience looking to get into it, or the die hard needing a refresher. Or just come out for fun. I mean its free so why not.
