Fotowa Boulder Rock Climbing
This is a tall, flat-faced boulder with a large gap running through the middle, splitting it into two, with a small wedge in the gap. The rock is gneiss with beautiful texture and tiny crimps.
From the Crystal Methods Boulder (facing the main face), follow a well worn hiking path heading left and up the hill. Soon it will turn into a talus scramble, but keep following the general path of wear. After a short scramble, you should see the Fotowa Boulder, which is one of the largest in immediate sight, characterized by its very flat face.

From here you can move right hand up closer to the edge, or bump left to around the edge of the boulder. Work around and into the gap, and follow the slabby/claustrophobic topout....[more] Browse More Classics in Massachusetts
