J. Tarry again...cuz it's rad.

Description

This striking arete, high on the southern flanks of Boston Peak, can be seen from the highway to the west.

Start to the right of the obvious, bolted slab route, Heartbreaker. Pop around to the right side at the fourth bolt (between the 4th and 5th) to arrive at the base of the steepening arete. Climb to a good shakeout, and proceed past four bolts of some of the best arete climbing for miles and miles.

Protection

14 bolts and a two-bolt/chain station.

When you decide to tackle a route that has been authored by Steve, you are guaranteed two things: 1) the climb will be aesthetic and striking, and 2) it will have a level of intimidation and technical mastery. This route is no exception, and it blows my mind that there are routes like this in the canyon I had yet to see with my own two eyes.

Don't procrastinate this route, slog up the hour plus hike, and stare in awe.
