Shady mostly north facing, some sun in the morning. Best when it's been dry for awhile and hot in Squamish. It's a lot lower than Habrich and is a different approach.

It's a Secluded and the rock quality is fantastic. Alpine cragging at it's finest.

Getting There

Take Mamquam FSR (the dirt road that goes past the Slahany). Follow Stawamus FSR for awhile. It's about 10Km from HWY 99. Park when the road gets too rock to drive (unless you have high clearance. The road was washed out, but has been repaired. Hike down to the river, usually marked. You'll know you have the right river crossing if you see a rope bridge. Follow trail steeply for 30-40 mins.

I guess the approach scares people off of this excellent route. It does tend to be wet on the first approach bit and might seep on the first pitch. This is a great hot summer day adventure.Pitch 1) start up ledges to gain dihedral, great cracks and stem box. 5.9 40-50mPitch 2) original corner gets really dirty, but still worth doing, 5.8. There is a 5.9 variation that is also good to the left. 30-40mPitch 3) sitting on top of the "Scratching Post", down climb past another anchor and sta...[more]   Browse More Classics in International
