Description

This is the first buttress on the right side of the road from the highway (maybe 2 miles from the highway). It is a south-facing ,short wall with views of the San Juans on clear days.

Getting There

This is just off the highway. Walk up the hillside to the short cliff band of sandstone and conglomerate. Park on the down hill portion of the road and walk up about 5 minutes.

You may want to check out Bjornstad's guide, Rob.

Mr. Rat, thanks, I don't have too much time to find the book. I am just posting things after I walk cliff lines and climb pitches not documented on the Mt Project so that others who also don't have the book can have a clue as to what is around. Not intended to cause a fuss. I appreciate when others who do know all the routes in Escalante correct those who don't.

This is interpreted as you’ll post anything, accurate or not, and let others clean up the mess. You are commended for posting the routes as “Unknowns” rather than with incorrect names, which is appreciated. Comments stated here are also applicable to this discussion.

Mr. Rat,
Once again, why don't you add the accurate route names and FA's in an attempt to "let others clean up the mess"? Quit acting like anyone can buy an out of print guidebook form the 80's at the local gear shop. Be the change you want to see in the world. Shit, photocopy the pages out of the book and mail them to Rob if it matters that much to you. Or maybe that's too civil and requires too much constructive effort on your part. So in the mean time I'm sure you'll just keep trolling because accurate information isn't really what you're so worked up about. Your actions (or lack thereof) speak louder than your spray. What you really want is for this information to be limited in a selfish old man's attempt to keep this area off limits to the next generation of crushers.
