Finding climbing partners or hiring a guide in Germany (September)

I'm headed to southern Germany in September and am hoping to climb in the Allgau area (particularly around Fussen). Anyone have any idea how to hire a guide to show me the crags and belay for me? Or, failing that, anyone know the best places to meet climbers to climb with?

Try contacting Hary Röker at Gebro Verlag who publish the local guidebook, he knows everybody! info@gebro-verlag.de

I'm in the Stuttgart region and can definitely give you some info for the area. Can't promise I can climb but happy to help. You need to give a bit more info as to where exactly you'll be as "southern Germany" isn't all that specific. Can you speak or read any German? I'm assuming you can lead and are comfortable climbing outdoors. What gear will you have?

Hey! Any chance you're looking for partners this weekend (or future weekends)? I just moved to Freiburg im Breisgau and it'd be cool to find an outdoor climbing partner. I can normally send 5.11's on sport and 5.10's on trad. Shoot me a message if you're interested

I'll be climbing in southern Germany soon. I'm thinking about wwoofing (working on a farm) and climbing in Allgäu. My plans are very flexible though.

I don't have a rope, but I have all the other gear necessary for sport climbing. I warm up in the 5 range and climb low to mid 6s. I don't want to climb trad. I'm interested in multipitch but I would need to be taught how.

Let me know if you want to climb with me :)

Hey everyone!

I'm working at a hostel for 3 weeks in Füssen and would love to get on some of the rock here- let me know if anyone is near the area! I can rent some gear.

Cheers,

Samantha
