Description Suggest change

A really fun waterfall with a long pitch of steep, sustained, excellent ice, combined with the 1.5 hour ski approach make for full day out. Be aware that the Yoho River must be crossed (frozen) to approach, be careful!

It's best to climb 10m up ice steps to the right and a safe belay cave. The route starts out steep and stays that way, but a few bumps and waves along the way give the forearms a break.

Location Suggest change

Field of Dreams is about a 5 km ski up the Yoho Valley Road from the parking area just east of Field. The road is not maintained during the winter, but it sees a lot of ski traffic.

Leave the road and cross the river (as near as possible) when across from the route. Ski through trees and up a steep cone to the base of the route.

Protection Suggest change

70 m ropes recommended, Screws for protection and cord for v-thread anchors (which may be in place).
