Description

Ensoul climbs a slightly overhanging, solid arete over a good landing.

Sit start with a good left hand pinch on the arete and a right hand edge on the face. From there, bump through a right hand bump on the arete to a pinch-edge, follow with a left hand up the arete to an edge, then make a move out right to a big undercling, bump the left hand further up the arete, commit to a balanced foot paste, reach the false lip, mantel, gain the rail above, mantel again, finish up the remaining slab.

Location

This ascends the north arete of the Flyco Boulder.

Protection

A few pads, the landing is good, but there is a rock directly behind the fall zone.

Found the important undercling had busted off since climbing the problem. Worked out a completely new sequence that adds a sit start. Found the quality to be better than ever, and it adds some difficulty.
