Emigrant wall (left background)

Easy multi-pitch climbing on superb granite in beautiful Sierra setting. Close enough to Highway 88 to be simple to access but far enough out that it is unlikely to ever be crowded. Great place to introduce new climbers to multi-pitch climbing.
Emigrant Wall references the Mormon Carson Emigrant Trail, a major route into California during the California Gold Rush, which passed nearby.
First known development in 2017. No evidence of prior development.
Routes generally top out after three or four pitches. The last Pitch is commonly easy 5th class. It is simple to walk of to the North (climbers left) after reaching the top of the wall. Currently "The Pass" has rappel stations, but at least a 70 M rope is required to descend.

Getting There

Approach is currently an hour to an hour and a half unmarked.
