Just a nice day facing the beach

Limestone bouldering on a sandy beach. Here you'll find the best rock quality in the park, although many holds are still very liable to break off on you so always check a hold before committing to it above a bad landing.
Most of the problems here range from 6 feet to 10 feet in height and get sun all day making this place hot during the summer, but since you're on the beach you can always cool off in the water.
Don't expect to find solitude here, on a nice day the beach can get considerably crowded.
approach time from car: 2 minutes

Getting There

after entering the park continue straight down the road with the yellow diving line. continue past the yacht club, the fossil ridge camping. keep going straight until you come to a dead end with a parking lot and a trail with big sign that says beach access. continue down the trail which will land you on a nice sandy beach, the problems are scattered to your left and to your right.

Rock Climbing Photo: climb the corner of the roof

Deagon's roof V4 6B  Texas : Eisenhower State Park : ... : Illusion boulder
Start on the lower side (beach side) and work your way up and right along the corner of the roof on super jugs. turn the corner at the end of the roof and climb the very easy short slab to the top. Short but fun lowball on questionable rock. by the looks of it, years of erosion has started to fill in the space between the roof and ground making this an extremely-low low ball that kinda takes away from the quality. Not dabbing on the ground is the crux. Easy for the grade....[more]   Browse More Classics in Texas
