Access Issue: Most of the cliffs top out into private property.

All the cliffs except for one top out into private residences of summer people. Be sure to secure permission from the land owner before rigging a top rope or transiting their land.

Description
This is a large egg shaped boulder out in the sand at low tide in the Backshore area of Castine. From the road you walk to your right along the beach at low tide, its the only time you can access the boulder. I used to boulder here back in 78'-82' and the boulder has some decent problems on large crystal type holds. Something to check out if you are looking for some bouldering. My memory is its the only boulder out there on the beach so its location is obvious.
