Eastern MA 8/21-22

I'd like go top roping this Sunday and/or Monday in Eastern Mass. Where, exactly, isn't a huge concern as I have a car and plenty of gear to build anchors with. 60m rope, 100' static rope, webbing and acc cord, bunch of large lockers and non lockers, C4s (0.4-1), full set of walnuts, slings, harness, shoes, etc.

I'm looking for a group of friendly, moticated climbers who like to get outside more often then not and maybe follow some trad routes down the road. Climbing at 5.8-.9 and I'm pretty open minded with rock and route types.

I'm out here visiting my mom for a long weekend. Wouldn't mind meeting up with people for some climbing. Mind posting on here where/when you guys are going and I'll see if I can meet up?

For whatever reason the eastern branch is not as open as the Proj You folks out west have
and are used to.

If anyone is looking to climb above gear (or top rope)
on Fresh (cleanish) Granite off the side of the road,(can see the car)
Some 80 ft high,( 1pic, no beta, on the data base, Wooster state park )
multiple zones dozens of unclimbed quality (short tho)lines.

The Rocks stretch to Georgetown.
You can see the best of the areas thru the deep shade above Rt7 from the road.
But it is a full speed highway,
There is a parking lot, that leads to the Ives Trail.
It is directly across from the 45 ft high road cut
Not the Gun range, crossing the highway is dangerous.
Nor the Elks club, if they don't know you
Unless you are going to stop for a beer 1st.
the side of the road would be better.
As the next 2 days sound prime, I'm here come see for yourself.

Crow Hill is definitely a good option if you're looking for a variety of climbs. Static rope is helpful as most of the anchoring options are farther back from cliff edge.

There is a possibility of rain overnight. This crag does not dry out quickly, and the cracks get pretty silty due to dirt running off the tops and down the rock face. Just something to consider.

Another top rope option is College Rock in Hopkinton. Climbs are short but fun. Top is easy to access with plenty of anchoring options. mountainproject.com/v/colle…
