Description

This is the clean slab on the west side of the Back Of Beyond. Facing directly east, it gets sun until 2pm. It is easily seen when entering the area and is home to a handful of bolted and mixed lines. The East Face Slab is somewhat divided into the Alex Wall, and the more recent Moss Lords route. The Alex Wall is the obvious clean face with Los Pantalones De Alex and Hot Patootie Bless My Soul. Having some of the most solid and aesthetically pleasing rock up here, this crag acts as a nice place to start or finish. Depending on the season, consider chasing the shade? Mostly moderate lines exist here, both single and multi-pitch. Bolted anchors can be found on all routes and a 60 meter rope will is all that is needed.

Getting There

Follow directions into the Back of Beyond area, when approaching the crag, follow the trail up the drainage until the area opens up. Look to your right (west) and locate a clean, striking slab with bolts.
