Getting There 

Same entrance as Eagle Canyon/Head of Sinbad. Go through the Iron gate (11.5 miles past the Ranch Exit 131 on I.70 that leads to Buckhorn Wash}From the gate drive 50 yards to a right hand turn , then 100 yards to road on left ,drive 1.6 miles down 4X4 road . From here 5 mins walk to the foot of the spire.

This spire was named after the 60' Napes Needle pinnacle located in the English Lake District. First climbed in 1886, this ascent is often quoted as being the climb that started the true sport of rock climbing.
