There are a number of granite boulders in and around the National Park. Enter through the park ($4 for residents, $10 for non-residents).

The park is very beautiful and is well-known for its cave paintings and sunset views. The park crowds are sparse enough to allow for bouldering in relative seclusion, aside from Lion Rock. Expect pleasant temps in the winter, but with the onset of summer, it gets hot out here.

Currently, the developed bouldering is more or less within the park (some more, some less), but there is vast potential - a conservative estimate is several hundred boulders - in the surrounding area.

The granite is good quality, but like most stuff in Zim, it is generally sharp. Many boulders are pretty featureless, but given the huge total number of boulders overall, there is vast potential here if you don't mind a little walking.

Getting There

Driving is the only really feasible way of getting to Dumboshava. Drive north out of Harare about 27km, and make a right to head to the Park entrance. Signage is very poor to non-existent, but on the brighter side, everyone knows where it is, so you can basically ask anyone how to get there.
