Description

Dry Creek is located just outside the Alpine, Ut. city limits. This area is most popular for hiking trails going to Horsetail Falls. It is made up of a handful of granite boulders. This area was developed in the early 2000's by Andy Knight. He contacted me and informed me that it had been developed. Still waiting on any more information from him as for names, ratings ect.

I claimed a few first ascents on the ones that had more loose rock and vegetation on them. Please let me know of any discrepancies in what I've posted. I posted this area as a service to other climbers so they know where to go and what to climb.

Getting There

Go to Deer Creek/Dry Creek/ North Mountain trail. Located just outside of Alpine Ut, past the rodeo grounds. Look at the map, it's very straight forward, there are very trafficked and well used paved roads to this trailhead. Park in the parking lot and follow the directions to the specific areas as follows.

The east side of the boulder, there are 3 nuts placed in the rock, just down from them, you'll see the start of Bull in a China Shop. Start on slopy starting holds, moving your feet across the bottom. You'll move your hands up and then heel hook or high step yourself to ledge. From there, you'll go more left to not as secure hands and a slopy top out....[more]   Browse More Classics in Utah
