BETA PHOTO: Domino's east face.

Description

Domino is a medium-sized boulder. The rock has some interesting formations, much of it is solid, but areas are sandy. The landings on its east face are very good.

Getting There

It is located in the Southie Area. From the parking area, head downhill, cross East Creek, head up toward the Mecca Boulder on the dirt track, continue past the boulder about 50 yards, and then head uphill toward the cliff. Below the cliff, there is a foot path, head in a southwesterly direction and the boulder will be on the left. It is best to just look at the page map, it's tough to explain, this one is pretty far out there.

Climbing Season

The problem climbs an undercut bulging face on its numerous edges.Sit start with hands matched on the rail and a right heel hook. From there, crank up to a right hand crimp, hit the left hand jug, bump up the heel, gain the next right hand crimp, reach the good left hand edge, then cruise up the remaining bumps to top it out....[more]   Browse More Classics in Colorado
