Description Suggest change

Dominguez Canyon hosts numerous (fairly) secluded area both near the Gunnison River and back on into side canyons as well. The rock quality varies, as it does with a lot of rock on the western slope, but the boulders are proud and varied, and there is potential for SO much!

Getting There Suggest change

From Grand Junction, head south on US 50 (toward Delta). Take a right onto Bridgeport Road, and drive down the gravel road until you hit the trailhead or the river. From the primary parking area, hike over the hill and over the railroad tracks, and cross a bridge over the Gunnison River. From there, head left (south), and you'll start to see the boulders. From the boat ramp, hike alongside the railroad tracks until an obvious road crosses them. Veer right, and then cross the bridge. Hang a left, and you'll start to see the boulders. Reference the map for the exact location of the trailhead. The boat put-in will be just west of the marker for the main trailhead.
