dirtbag camping locations around Cody?

Would any Cody locals know of any ideal locations for dirtbag car camping in the Cody area?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Up S Fork Road, Deer Creek cmpgrnd. Free, toilet, bear boxes...no water though xcept out of Deer Creek. About 45min-1 hr out of town.

the area just south of Buffalo Bill reservoir (outside the state park) is BLM land, no established campsites but you can find flat spots, I've had nice evening over there. a bit closer to town, maybe 20 mins

You can camp on Cedar mountain, right on the edge of town. Closer to both the climbing and town. When will you be around? Hit me up and we'll go climbing.

we drove pretty far trying to find camping and did one night on FS road that said no camping. next 3 nights we stayed at wall mart in town. wish we had better beta.
