Desplomilandia Rock Climbing
Not too shabby view from the crags.
A series of limestone crags situated up in the hills above El Chorro. This is the area to climb at when it's hot, as the walls are all north facing and breezy. The imaculate walls are set above the turquoise lakes of Ardales which are perfect for swimming before and after climbing. A truly beautiful place to be.
There are a half dozen or so crags here with a good range of climbs from 5.10 to hard 5.13. Many of the routes are over 30 meters so bring a 70m rope.
From the train station in El Chorro head down and across the river. Take a right, and drive past the gorge and through the hills for a few km. Follow signs for Antequera until you see the crags above you on the right.
Climbing Season For the El Chorro area.

Bring your power endurance...Easier climbing trends right and back left making a tricky third clip. Deadpoints lead to sidepulls and p...[more] Browse More Classics in International
