Description

Climb past bolts and gear placements to a two-bolt anchor with slings and rings that are too flimsy for toproping. The rock is generally chossy and loose, but the climbing is interesting.

Location

This is on the right side of the giant chimney that borders Vertical Alluvium. It is across that chimney from VA.

Protection

Bolts. You could place #0.4-2 Cams and large-ish Stoppers in sometimes-fragile rock.

Per Steve Elder: the anchor is now upgraded with chains and quicklinks.

This route was originally done as a dry tooling route rated M6.

As posted by Gary above, this route was established as a dry tool route due to the very reason that the rock is not great. It rock climbs at about 5.8-5.9 and doesn't require gear other than the bolts, although it is a little sporty.

The anchor is now upgraded with chains and quicklinks.
