I liked this route, but I could never get used to its name. I always called it "The route in the bunker." To me, the name is a regrettable detraction from an otherwise fun and engaging route.

Just my opinion on the 5.13a suggestion. I would love to take 13a for this send but I do not feel that it justifies the grade. The moves are as such; v5 to huge jug recover to v3 recover and finish with a v4. I do not think this warrants a 5.13a especially when you compare it to Burn (T-Wall), Gas Chamber Direct, Word (which is 12d/13a, harder than Darkie), Silverback, and Hooligans (A lot of times called 13a). And if we want to add one from another part of the country for reference, try Twitch in Clear Creek Canyon 5.12d! Really hard for the grade!!!

I think Darkie is an amazing route that is a solid 5.12d and will get everyone ready and in bouldering shape for the routes beyond this grade! GET ON IT SO FREAKING GOOD!!!
