Description

I found this while on a journey to find Boomtown. Alas, I was thwarted in that quest but I did find these rocks. Climb them.

Getting There

Whew, well I walked almost exactly 3/4 mile SE of The Reserve (which is where Boomtown was supposed to be) with no trail to find these. Best bet is to use a GPS to find these coordinates.

A closer approach might be to park at the end of Halweg Road and hike N into the woods.

GPS coordinates for these rocks: N43'23.764 W089'43.272

I've considered parking at Halweg road, but have never actually gone out there. Google earth shows houses on the north side of it, though none near the end, do you know whether or not the end is private property? If its not, that would certainly appear to be the quickest/easiest way to areas like this and boomtown.

Snowshoed past "Dark Horse" on the way out to Devils Nose, starting from the end of Burma Road. "Dark Horse" is on the south side of the flat top of the South Bluff.

It is almost due north of the end of Halweg Road.

I'm not much a of judge of bouldering potential, but it looks like there should be over a half dozen problem among these rocks.
