This area was discovered in 2007. Its in a very large wooded tract directly off of Route184 just before the junction of Route 117. It is a popular ATVing area with multiple points of entry. One extremely steep cave near the entry has started to see development. If you go here don't miss the steep Archangel or The Black Dahlia.

how exactly do you approach this wall? I entered through a sizable trail on the left before 117 junction that looked like an ATV trail and spent 2 hours hiking around trying to find this wall... maybe somebody could add to the directions section to help us out?

Here is the cliff:

There is a really cool project coming out of the center of the cave. The holds might need some reinforcement, but its worth it. A stunning line.

thanks! also found a ton of huge blocs all over this forest while searching for the arch angel wall. if motivated climbers knew about this area there would be enough climbs for a guidebook. you just have to leave the trails to find them. amazing lines everywhere, posted a pic of one of them

A little bit of bing map exploring and hiking and I am sure you will turn up something in Mystic and Groton. I always felt that I did not find everything up there.

There is lots of rock in the area. Some even tall enough to climb. The problem is most is on private land.
