Devon learning what a squeeze chimney should feel ...

Wet start. Thrutch up past a hemlock tree and step into the darkness. From here tight but enjoyable chimneying leads up to a pedestal just before the off width. Creep up the wide crack and belay from a birch tree.

a little right of Lurking.

Can be found in extremely suspect flakes and chockstones (it may be less dangerous not to place any) before the O.W. and a small nest can be built before the final push.

Lee, if it's the one I'm thinking of, it's wide....More of a tight chimney than an off width for much of it. It's an awesome line, and a real grunter. As far as steepness, I would say it's nearly vertical...

I led this last year when getting half way up lurking before I realized there was an active ravens nest in route. I moved up right into this OW and laybacked it to the top. Dickey's coarse granite isn't anything I want to subject my whole body too. Either way there's no pro. R/X IMHO.
