Description

There are 4 or more climbing areas at the sacred valley. I climbed at two.

1. About 1 mile toward Urubamba from Ollantaytambo there are some weird capsules about 300 meters up a cliff. Below these capsules are 8-10 bolted sport routes. I did the first 4 on the right. They are all 10A-C. Decent slabby climbing.

2. Continuing toward Urubamba there are two odd suspension bridges. The second is less than a mile on. Drive accross (yes!!) and head back about 200 yds toward Ollantaytambo. Park in a wide area and notice the most appealing cliff across the fields--150 yds. There are 6 bolted lines on vertical and overhanging granite with rock similar to the black canyon. I did 5 and they were between 10 C and 11 B.

3. Other areas in sacred valley include Lamay.
