I'm looking for a conditions report on the Palisades area- any snow on the west side near Bishop Pass trail or on the peaks? Even a general report on that side of the Sierra would be helpful. Thanks!
Awesome, thanks for the post. Doesn't seem like there's much on the approach from Palisade Basin either, do you have a sense of that? Recommend Yak Trax or crampons?

NP. The E side approaches were a little firm in the early morning; I used Microspikes to speed things up crossing the glacier below Temple but I started climbing at first light. I suspect there is very little snow on the W side approach (aside from the Pol Glacier), but don't know 100%. Maybe give one of the Bishop guiding services or Wilson's a call.
