If you're looking for a way to get the juices flowing before taking a swing at the Main Flow or Quarry Monster, consider making a quick little adventure up the fun climbing on Cristobal (so named because, much like Columbus in 1492, the pair who first ascended this route mistakenly assumed that they had climbed a different route entirely).

Pitch 1 (WI2, 23 ft.): The meatiest piece of ice offered on this miniature gully climb. This flow appears to be almost as wide as it is tall. It is less than vertical but offers steeper climbing in the middle and slightly terraced terrain on the left-most side (conditions depending).

Pitch 2 (WI1, 18 ft.): Approach to this low-angle ice ramp by following the creek uphill from the top of pitch 1. I can easily be ascended with one tool or even bare-hands for balance.

Pitch 3 (WI2+, 18 ft.): Looking up the creek from the top of pitch 2 this climb will be obvious about 60 ft. further up the creek. The pitch is not quite as tall as the first but offers somewhat steeper climbing and, in 2015, considerably thinner, and more delicate ice.

Taking the Main Flow as being the first climb one will encounter when walking down the tracks from parking area, this should be the third major flow (fourth if you count Can O' Beans) seen on the right. As you continue further from the parking area, pitch 1 should be no more than a few hundred feet down the tracks from Prairie Dog Couloir.

Depending on conditions pitches 2 and 3 may also be visible from the tracks.

2-3 screws (depending on conditions).
