Crampon heel fit

Have a boot with a narrow heel. Any experience on making the fit better? Or should I find a different crampon? Petzl lynx on la sportiva nepals.

Shim the fins. Use whatever suitable material you're good at working with. A friend of mine used dental cement. I'd probably use phenolic laminate and epoxy.

Bend in the tabs or adjust the crampons shorter.

Between the length adjustment, the hole options for the front and rear bars, and the tension of the heel lever, you should be able to make everything line up.

I only ever had a hard time fitting the lynx on the Spantik,size 45, because of the boot rocker, the fact it is on the very high end of the lynx regular length link bar, and the large boot volume was slightly wider than the rear wire bail.

Lynx fit my Nepal's like a charm.

Your crampons are adjusted far too long. Your boot heel should hang over the back of the crampon. You will still have a bit of space between your boot and the crampon posts, but not nearly as much.

The heel of the boot isn't getting significantly wider, just shortening them may not work. Shim them as suggested above (and shorten) or buy a crampon that actually fits. Grivel heels seem to fit narrower heels perfectly, G14s on smaller baturas were one to the greatest fits I've seen.
