This is a small but very convenient spot on the west side of the gorge with a handful of routes and a very easy approach. At only 5 minutes from the car, it can easily be combined with other stuff in the area (there are many micro crags) or just accessed for a short day if you're in the area. This is also a popular camping area, as there is a large cave-like formation to camp in.

Getting There 

Park at the Conley Cove trailhead, approximately 6 miles south of Linville Falls on Kistler Memorial Highway.(~ 2 miles south of Wiseman's View).

Hike down the trail less than 5 minutes to the first outcropping on the right. This is essentially the beginning of the Gold Coast Band, although not technically included in that section.

An older route that was originally put up solo with some aid but never free climbed. It has recently been revisited, cleaned up a bit more and freed. Two more lead bolts were added after the free ascent to facilitate a better (and safer) flow.Start up on the higher shelf/ground and climb into a short chossy dihedral, then up onto the easy face with more chossy rock.
