Colors Crag Rock Climbing
BETA PHOTO: Colors Crag topo 2.
Colors Crag is another overlooked cliff right at the start of the Narrows. Originally it was developed in the Spring of 2010, it has recently been revisited and brought back to life.
Generally a shady crag after early morning, this crag has good conditions most of the year. In the middle of winter, it is too cold. In the middle of summer, it is too hot, but otherwise good conditions can be found, and there is no river crossing.
The rock quality is generally good, but more traffic is needed to get the routes in really prime condition.
From Ted's Place, drive 18.1 miles up the Poudre Canyon until you reach the Electric Ocean/Widowmakers followed immediately by a bridge. Park in the massive pullout on the right just past the bridge. Walk uphill to a saddle before dropping down and right to the base of the cliff (10-15 minutes).

Start by climbing a short, arching crack (the same as Fertile Crescent) to an obvious jug where the crack becomes horizontal. From here, launch into a sea of 5.12 slab and face climbing to an obvious undercling rest at 3/4's height.
