Description Suggest change

Mee Canyon is located west of Grand Junction. It is a remote desert canyon offering many possibilities for adventure. It is a popular canyon hike for backpackers, and is often coupled with a hike of Knowles Canyon to create a loop from Glade Park. It's primary feature is Arch Tower.

Getting There Suggest change

The easiest approach to Mee Canyon is by boat. Float the Colorado River from the put-in at Loma down about 12 miles to Mee Canyon on your left. This is a BLM administred area, and there are campsites river left.

Another (very long) way in would require a hike from a Glade Park trailhead. I've met backpackers that have done this, but you will have to investigate the best way to get in from Glade Park. Kelsey's canyoning guidebooks have a description.
