Columbia is dangerous

This country is awesome, you can find places for climbing trad, sport, mix and bouldering. Bogota, the capital city, has great gyms for indoor training. Near to the city there are a lots of places and towns to make your adventure special and the important. Everywhere the people are so nice, the most popular place for rock climbing is called Suesca: it is an one hour drive, there are most than 400 routes. Sandstone, very good with your hands, the weather is pretty and you can make your camp just at 2 minutes at the first routes. Nearby exist places where you can find hamburgers and beers and more. This is just a little description for all the beautiful places of this country

Getting There

you can fly to Bogota: once there in a bus, make a trip for the principal city

This is a really fun long route up solid rock. The Crux is getting off the ground and pulling up over the roof. From a large boulder clip the first bolt and make sure your belayer keeps tension in the rope there is not a lot of space between you and the boulder if you come off. after clearing the roof it is moderate fun climbing the to the anchors. Great warm up for some of the others in the area. ...[more]   Browse More Classics in International

Columbia is a climbing destination with a thriving local community and hundreds of incredibly high-quality routes. If you're not daunted by the logistics of climbing in a foreign country you must put this place on your list.
